Ceramic Art Jewelry
Students will learn to use clay and a variety of techniques in order to create one-of-a-kind jewelry. Through stamping, carving and modeling techniques they will form a collection of jewelry such as pendants, broaches, earrings, necklaces, buttons, etc. Ceramic finishing techniques of glazing, staining and painting will be introduced as well. Clay, glazes and firing for the class projects will be provided.
OSHIBANA - The Art of Pressed Flowers
Students will learn how to work with pressed flowers, leaves, grasses etc. With already pressed materials, they will create greeting cards and floral compositions to take home. Information about Oshibana and different techniques of pressing and preserving botanical materials will be provided.
